Description
The success in solving problems, improving existing processes, and troubleshooting faults depend to a large extent on one’s ability in selecting proper system components and performing design and sizing calculations. Participants in this course will be introduced to essential background information and fundamentals of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics necessary for the design of various piping systems. Participants will learn how to design piping systems for transporting gasses, liquids, and slurry.
The material presented here is for individuals who have a little background on the subject; while providing valuable information for personnel having experience with piping system design.
Course outline
- Selected Topics in Fluid Mechanics
- Selected Topics in Thermodynamics
- Steam Piping
- Compressed Air Piping
- Fuel Gas Piping
